We’ve had a lot of excitement around our wild salmon boxes and trust us, we’re just as eager to get them to you.

 

But this year, we made the decision to wait.

​

When our boat fills with fish, that catch is offloaded onto a tender, a larger vessel that hauls fish back to shore for processing at a cannery. Our original plan for 2025 was to buy that processed salmon back from the cannery and bring it down to Oregon for sale.

​

After a lot of thought, we decided that doesn’t quite fit our vision for Kings Bay Fish Co.

 

Our goal is to keep things truly boat to table.

 

To catch, handle, and bring home the fish ourselves,

every step of the way.

​

So, here’s the plan: in Summer 2026, we’ll be taking a few weeks out of our commercial season to catch our own fish, process them ourselves, and personally bring them home to Oregon. This feels right.

 

We want every box we sell to come directly from our hands to yours, with a story we can stand behind.

We know this might bring a little disappointment this year, but we believe the wait will be worth it. Our goal is to offer salmon that’s as honest, fresh, and direct as possible.

That means taking the time to do it the right way.
